His Eminence Gabriel Metropolitan of Leontopolis was born in Athens in 1957. He holds a degree from the Theological faculty of the University of Athens. His Eminence Athanasios, Metropolitan of Kyrini, was born in Morphou, Cyprus in 1958. He is a brother of the Holy Royal and Stavropegic Monastery of Kykkos.
