           On 22nd February 2008, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, acccompanied by His Grace Ignatios, Bishop of Madagascar and the Very Reverend Archimandrite Panteleimon Arathymos, Director of the Office for Developmental Works of the ancient Patriarchate, attended a lunch hosted at the Ambassadorial Residence by His Excellency the Ambassador of Egypt to Madagascar.           

           During the lunch, which was also attended by His Grace Augustine, Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See and the Honourable Honorary Consul Genereal of Greece and Cyprus Mr Panayiotis Taloumis, the Ambassador expressed his respect for the Venerable Primate of the Alexandrian Throne, as well as his joy at his presence on the beautiful island country.
