     On 29th October 2011 in the city of Sibiu in Romania His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa and His Beatitude Daniel Patriarch of Romania concelebrated the Divine Liturgy.

     During the Patriarchal con-celebration, which was attended by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Romania Mr. Traian Basescu, together with high-ranking state officials, representatives of Christian faiths and other dignitaries, the sanctification of Saint Hierarch Andrei Saguna Metropolitan of Transylvania took place.

     Before the end of the Eucharistic gathering His Beatitude Daniel, and His Eminence Laurentius Archbishop of Sibiu and Metropolitan of Transylvania spoke about the life and activities of St Andrei Saguna, and His Beatitude made An appropriate reply, then gave a Holy Gospel Book to the Church and a Hierarchal Pectoral Cross to His Eminence Laurentius.

     An official lunch followed during which His beatitude the Alexandrian Patriarch awarded the Transylvanian Bishop the Lion of the Order of St Mark.

     In the afternoon of the same day the Venerable Primates, together with their entourages left by road for the city of Alba Iulia, where the Doxology was sung at the Holy Cathedral on their arrival.
