On The evening of 23Febryuary 2010, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa completed his official visit to Ethiopia, having realized a list of meetings with the state and church leadership of the country, local officials, diplomats and service staff, but essentially having lent a paternal ear to the visions as well as the concerns of the Christians of the historic Holy Metropolis of Aksum.
His Beatitude was seen off at the International Airport in Addis Ababa by His Beatitude Paul of the Ethiopian Church, together with four Synodal hierarchs, His Eminence Elder Metropolitan Petros of Aksum, Their Excellencies the Ambassadors of Greece and Cyprus, the Chargé d’ Affaires of the Russian Embassy, the Honourable Chairman of the Hellenic Community of Addis Ababa, representatives of Hellenic Societies and other dignitaries.
Departing for in Sudan, His Beatitude expressed his gratitude and love to all.
