     On 12th July 2008, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa received at the Patriarchal See His Eminence Theophylactos of Tripoli who informed His Beatitude on issues regarding his jurisdiction.

     On 13th July 2008, His Beatitude officiated and preached the homily during the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Patriarchal Church of St Savvas the Sanctified in Alexandria. He then received His Eminence Isaiah Metropolitan of Tamasou and Orinis, who is the liaison between the Holy Church of Cyprus and the Patriarchate for missionary efforts on the African Continent. They discussed the results of His Beatitude’s recent trip to Tanzania.

     On 14th July 2008, His Beatitude traveled to Cairo to pass on his best wishes on the occasion of his nameday to His Grace Nikodimos, Patriarchal Vicar in Cairo. He also inspected the ongoing restoration works on the Holy Monastery of St George in Old Cairo.

     On 15th July 2008 His Beatitude was visited in Cairo by the departing Military Attache of the Greek Embassy, Mr Apostolos Bastas, Captain of the Navy, and Mr Panayiotis Pastouseas, Captain of the Navy who is the newly appointed Military Attache.
