On 30th September 2011, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, received in the Patriarchal See the Association of Teachers and Educators of the Averof High School and the Pratsikeios Primary School of Alexandria who received the Patriarchal blessing for the start of the new Academic year 2011-2012.
His Beatitude expressed the love and honour of the Alexandrian Church for this most important educational effort of the staff, to whom he spoke also of the general work of the Patriarchate on the African continent. A conducted tour of the Patriarchal Mansion and the Patriarchal Library followed.
