Patriarch Theodoros II of Alexandria and All Africa, met with the Minister of National Defense, Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, in Athens on 23rd July 2021.
The Minister of National Defense of Greece was thoroughly informed by the Primate of Alexandria regarding the missionary work of the Patriarchate of Alexandria in Africa and its general contribution through its efforts to the Land of the Nile.
The Patriarch prayed "for the Christ-loving Army of Greece" and expressed his gratitude for the contribution of the Motherland to the Egyptian Hellenes, which keeps alive the presence of the Greek spirit and Orthodoxy in the region, confirming Greece's excellent relations with Egypt.
