His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, reserved a warm welcome, on Monday, July 12, 2021, for the 15 young people from Greece, Cyprus and Egypt, who visited the See of the Ancient Patriarchate, as part of the 4th phase of the program "NOSTOS – Return to the Roots", which is dedicated to Expatriate youth.

"Welcome to cosmopolitan Alexandria," he told them, emphasizing that the Mediterranean city is surrounded by the sea, a great blessing for all three countries, as he pointed out.

Referring to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, whose own initiative is "NOSTOS", co-decided by the leaders of the three countries in 2017, he said that “the Egyptian leader dreams of moving his country forward. And in this effort, Greece and Cyprus are by his side".

In fact, in the presence of the Patriarchal Commissioner of Alexandria, Metropolitan Narcissus of Naucratis and the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Egypt, Mr. Konstantinos Christofidis, he warmly thanked the Deputy Governor of Alexandria, Dr. Jackleen Azer, while the representative of the Minister of the Diaspora, Doa Adri, offered to the Patriarch of Alexandria a souvenir of "NOSTOS" on behalf of Nabila Makram.

In conclusion, the Patriarch of Alexandria thanked in the person of the Secretary General of the Hellenic Community of Alexandria Dimitris Kavouras all the young people who visited him today from the three countries.
