On Tuesday, 5th October 2021, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, welcomed to the Patriarchal See His Excellency the Ambassador of Denmark to Egypt, Mr. Svend Olling, who was accompanied by his wife, during his visit to Alexandria.
His Beatitude, after welcoming Mr. Olling made extensive reference to the presence of the Ancient Patriarchate in the African Continent, while making special mention of the enormous missionary and social work carried out through the Metropolises and Dioceses of the Patriarchate, in the African countries.
During their long and cordial discussion, the Patriarch also stressed that the Patriarchate of Alexandria is a religious and cultural nucleus in the region of Egypt and the Eastern Mediterranean and will always contribute to the peaceful and harmonious coexistence of the Nations.
His Excellency the Ambassador, wholeheartedly thanking His Beatitude for the warm welcome given to him, assured the Patriarch that the Embassy and he personally, will protect and support the diverse work of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria.
