Prior to the Dismissal, as is custom in the Community, a procession took place three times around the Church, during which His Beatitude sprinkled rosewater on the faithful, while the choirs were chanting, in Greek and Arabic, the Troparion of the Feast. Note that it is the first time in 220 years that a Patriarch of Alexandria will celebrate Holy week and the Resurrection of the Lord in Cairo
