On 11th November 2019, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, arrived at the Holy Metropolis of Limassol for the celebrations of the Patron Saint John the Merciful.
His Beatitude, accompanied by Hierarchs of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and the local Primate of Limassol, His Eminence Athanasios, paid a visit to the Holy Monastery of the Precious Forerunner in Mesa Potamou.
The Primate of the Alexandrian Church was warmly welcomed by the Abbot of the Holy Monastery, Archimandrite Paisios and the Brotherhood.
The Patriarch of Alexandria then went to the Central Church of the Monastery where an official Doxology was sung.
His Beatitude then thanked the Abbot, Archimandrite Paisios and the Brotherhood for the warm welcome and expressed his joy on being at the Holy Monastery of Limassol to conduct the festivities of the Patrin Saint St John the Merciful.
