     On 15th July 2011 His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa visited Ouranopolis in Halkidiki. He was met at the Airport in Thessaloniki by His Eminence Nikodimos of Kassandreia on behalf of His Eminence Prokopios of Neas Krinis and Kalamarias.

     On Saturday 16th July His Beatitude sailed around Agion Oros and in the evening conducted the Inauguration of the Holy Chapel of the Archangel Michael, within the grounds of the home of businessman from Cameroon, Mr Anestis Arnopoulos, Archon Refendarios of the Patriarchate of Alexandria. Present at the inauguration was the local Metropolitan, His Eminence Nikodimos of Ierissos, Ardameriou and Agiou Orous, His Eminence George Metropolitan of Accra, His Eminence Dimitrios Metropolitan of Irinopolis, and His Eminence Gregory Metropolitan of Cameroon, other clergy, Mr Arnopoulos’ family and guests from all over the world. Following the Inauguration ceremony, His Beatitude honoured Mr Arnopoulos with the Commander of the Order of St Savvas and thanked him for his support of the work of the Patriarchate in Africa.  A supper followed, hosted in honour of His Beatitude by Mr. Arnopoulos.
