On The 22nd November 2011, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa paid a visit to His Excellency Mr. Osama el Fouly, the new Governor-Administrator of Alexandria, accompanied by His Grace Gabriel, Bishop of Mareotis and the Very reverend Archimandrtie Narcissos Gamo.
Due to the visit and the extraordinary circumstances in Egypt, the Primate of the Church of the Apostle Mark thanked His Excellency the Governor for his love, support and all assistance and facilitation given in order that the operation of the Patriarchate continues unhindered, and at the same time defined as imperative the need to find political and social peace in the country for the benefit of the Egyptian people. A thorough discussion followed on current issues, touching on both the immediate interest of the Patriarchate as well as of Alexandria in general.
