On 30th October 2007, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Russia accompanied by His Eminence Petros of Aksum, Director of the Athens Patriarchal Office, visited His Excellency the Minister of Social Welfare, Mr Vasilis Manginas, His Excellency the Minister of State and Government Representative Mr Theodoros Roussopoulos and His Excellency the Minister of Natianol Finance Mr George Alogoskoufis.
Following these meetings, accompanied by Archimandrite Damaskinos Damianakis, Parish Priest of the Patriarchal Dependency in Athens, His Beatitude went to the Archbishop’s Residence where he met with His Beatitude Christodoulos, Archbishop of Athens and All Greece. He was informed regarding the progress of His Beatitude’s health and wished him a speedy return to health. On leaving the Archbishop’s residence, he spoke with the media members present.
