In the framework of his visit to the Holy Metropolis of Johannezburg and Pretoria, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, on Wednesday 21 January 2015, went to the Holy Monastery of St Nektarios which is being set up outside Pretoria, and inspected the iconopgraphic works of the Holy Church, the repairs being done on the buildings and the transformation of the enormous plot.  He himself planted a seedling of a lemon tree and wished the local Metropolitan  and the priests responsible for the supervision of the Holy Monastery, great success in their efforts, and expressed his appreciation for the works already done.  On Thursday 22nd January 2015, he went to the Hellenic Community of Germiston, where, in the huge Community hall and in the presence of the Ambassadors of Greece, Cyprus and Egypt and all the Chairmen of Communities and Societies, he did the Sanctification of the water and cut the traditional Vasilopita of the Federation of Hellenic Communities and Societies of South Africa. During the function he awarded the Cross of the Saint, Apostle and Evangelist Mark with a Star, first class, to the Chairman of the Federation Mr. Tasos Christoforou.

On Friday 23 January 2015, he went to Saheti School, where he had the opportunity of meeting with the Headmaster, the teachers and other staff of the School and in a function held in the grounds of the school he saw the pupils and wished them a Good Year and success in their studies.
