On 7th March 2014, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, being in Constantinople for the Synaxis of the Primates of All Orthodox Patriarchates and Autocephalous Churches, officiated at the Service of the 1st Stasis (Ode) of the Salutations to the Most Holy Theotokos at the Holy Church of the Archangels in Megalo Revma, Vosporus.

In the presence of the Primates of Orthodox Churches and their entourages, the Honorable Consul General of Greece in Constantinople Mr. Nicholas Mathioudakis, many faithful from Constantinople and abroad, as well as pupils from Greece, His Beatitude thanked, on behalf of the Primates, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomaios I, for his initiative in convening the Pan-Orthodox Synaxis and the hospitality of Abraham in Constantinople and at the same time spoke of the missionary ministry of the Patriarchate on the African continent for the illumination and spiritual support of the Africans.
