On the night of Sunday 9th October 2011, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa met with the Primate of the Anglican Church Dr Rowan Williams, in Harare as both Church Leaders happened to be in Zimbabwe at the same time.
The Alexandrian Primate was warmly welcomed by the Archbishop of Canterbury in the home of the Anglican Bishop in Harare, and expressed his satisfaction on the collaboration between the two Churches in this Southern African country and asked the Anglican Archbishop to please visit again the See of the Second Throne Patriarchate in Alexandria. Present during the meeting were His Eminence Seraphim of Zimbabwe and the Anglican Bishop of Harare.
