     On the 5th Sunday of Geat Lent His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa conducted the Divine Liturgy at the Community Church of the Holy Archangels of the Arabic orthodox Community in Cairo, concelebrating together with His Gace Nikodimos Bishop of Nitria, Patriarchal Vicar of Cairo and His Grace Niphon of Babylon, Hegumen of the Holy Monastery of St George in Old Cairo. The homily was preached by the Parish Priest, Fr Yusef Darous, who spoke about the life of St Mary of Egypt.

     Prior to the end of the Eucharistic gathering, His Beatitude went to the crypt of the Church to the tombs of the donors of this church, the late Habib and Barbara Loutfala, where memorial prayers were sung and during his brief address he congratulated the Dean of the Parish Community the Very Reverend Archimandrite Isidore Salakos, Protopresbyter Yusef Darous and the Church Council on their spiritual and social work.

     Present at the Liturgy were His Excellency the Ambassador of Greece in Egypt Mr Christodoulos Lazaris, His Excellency the Ambassador of Cypus M Sotos Liasides, the Consul General of Greece in Cairo Mr. Ioannis Hatzantonakis, the Deputy Chaiman of the Hellenic Community M Nicholas Vadis and many faithful.
