His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, having been informed of the great fire that broke out in the premises of the Holy Temple of the Coptic Church in the Giza district of the Egyptian capital, which claimed the lives of dozens of our fellow human beings, sent the following Patriarchal Letter to the Coptic Primate, expressing his condolences and support on the distressing event:

Your Most Holy Primate of the Coptic Orthodox Church, most dear and beloved brother in Christ God of our Mediocrity Pope Tawandros II, we embrace your Most Holiness fraternally in the Lord and greet you exceedingly.

 Having been informed with great sadness of the catastrophic fire that broke out in the premises of a Holy Church of the Coptic Church in the Giza district of the Egyptian capital, which claimed the lives of dozens of our fellow human beings, we hasten fraternally to express to Your Holiness and the flock of Your Church our sincere condolences and our undivided support.

 Our Most Holy Church stands steadfastly by the side of our people, participating in the mourning which it brings to mind, of the innocent victims of the catastrophic fire, which unexpectedly spread death and destruction on the premises of the Holy Church.

 Praying that the Most Merciful and Risen Lord may give rest to the souls of our martyred brothers and sisters together with the Saints and the Righteous, we once again express our wholehearted sympathy and support to You and remain,.
