On 28th December 2007, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa received at the Patriarchal See the large group from the Association of Greeks from Egypt, led by Mr Philip Kossenas, Chairman of the Association, whom he honoured with the highest distinction of the Senior brigadier of the Order of the Paravalaneons for his multifaceted support of the Missionary, spiritual and social work of the ancient Patriarchate.
On the same day he had a lengthy collaboration with Professor Agamemnon Tselikas regarding the restoration, recording, cataloguing and classification of the 75,000 works which are stored in the patriarchal Library of Alexandria which is being renovated.
His Beatitude also received His Eminence Metropolitan Nicholas of Ermopolis, Patriarchal Vicar of the Arabic-speaking community, the Chairman and Members of the Arabic-speaking Community of Alexandria, who came to give their best wishes and inform the Venerable Primate of the Church of Alexandria about the philanthropic work undertaken by this Community.
