       The 75th anniversary of the establishment of the beautiful Church of the Archangels in Daher, Cairo, was celebrated with great splendour on the 8th and 9th November 2007.
       On 8th November, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, officiated during the Great Vespers service, accompanied by His Eminence Nicholas of Ermopolis, the Patriarchal Vicar for the Arabic-speaking Orthodox Community and His Grace Bishop Nikodemos Patriarchal Vicar of Cairo, as well as Bishop Gatta of Kara and Bishop Moses of Darayia, Hierarchs of the Antiochian Patriarchate, who are on a pilgrimage together with 15 Syrian Clergy to the Patriarchate of Alexandria.
      
       The next day, 9th November, His Beatitude conducted the Divine Liturgy together with all the hierarchs mentioned above. Before the end of the celebration, His Beatitude spoke of the history of the church, to which he gave a valuable icon of St Seraphim of Sarov. Present at these services were His Excellency the Ambassador of Greece in Egypt, Mr. John-Alexis Zepos, the Consul General of Greece in Cairo, Mrs Ekaterini Gini, the Vice-Chairman of the Hellenic Community of Cairo Mr Basil Sarantinos, the Chairman of the Arrabic Orthodox Community Mr Houri and many faithful Christians.
       On the same day, His Beatitude baptised the son of the Syrian Priest, Father Ananias, bestowing on him the name Theodoros.
