On 15th November 2007, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa received at the Patriarchal Offices His Eminences Metropolitan Ioakim of Tamiathos, who attended as representative of His Beatitude the celebratory and liturgical functions of the Coptic Church in Cairo on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of His Beatitude Pope Shenouda as its Primate.

 

From 16th to 18th November 2007, a great number of pilgrims, especially from Crete, the birthplace of His Beatitude, visited the ancient Patriarchate of Alexandria. Among them were the members of the “Bridge of Love” Missionary Society of Crete, as well as many Christians led by the Governor of Rethymnos, Mr George Papadakis. They all without exception praised the person and work of the Venerable Primate of the Church of Alexandria and received his Patriarchal blessing.

 

On 20th Novmber the pupils of the Ambetios School of Cairo visited His Beatitude and were shown around the Patriarchal Palace. On the same day His Beatitude received His Grace Nikodemos, Bishop of Nitria, Patriarchal Vicar in Cairo, with whom he discussed various issues.
