HIS BEATITUDE VISITS THE GREEK FRIGATE “AIGAIO”

         On 22nd November 2007, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, visited the Greek frigate “AIGAIO” which is berthed in while participating in multiethnic exercises of the member countries of NATO.  

         He was welcomed aboard with all due honours by Admiral Apostolos Bastas who stressed the significance of the visit and presence of His Beatitude for the crew. His BEatitude thanked the Greek navy warmly for the respect shown to the , Mr George Diakofotakis and the Chairman of the Hellenic Community of Alexandria, Mr Haralambos Katsimbris.
